It had taken two days to come up with a plan. He had hidden in the secret lab and banned Ivan from entering. The task had been easy enough. All he had to do was drag out the half finished work for about five different projects and claim that if they were distrubed something was liable to blow up.
In reality, Yong Soo had spent his time scouring the public records and when he was finished with those, he had hacked into the police data base. He couldn't find a missing persons report on Jia-Long Wang. All that was available were his registration at one of those lower class highschools, and a few hospital stays. The last documented stay was just eight months before Jin was placed on the market and sold. Just a month longer than it took him to adjust to the change of being a bot.
If anything, the search on Allie had been worse. Allison Jones, age 20 when she went missing. Her parents had turned in a missing person’s report on her. Again there was a several month span, six this time, between her missing date and the date of bot Allie’s creation. Yong Soo was afraid to even look at Kiku’s.
Yong Soo wasn’t sure what to do next. The police? Why would they listen to him? He was just a bot. Something he had discovered, most likely could have been avoided. The injuries he had suffered should have been able to be cured with a modification or change to his spine. But Ivan had said that the tissue had been too badly damaged... But would it be so much of a stretch to think Ivan possible of lying about this when he had already lied so much?
What he really needed to do was get away for a while; to separate himself from the situation until he was able to think clearly and look at things from different angles.
And that was all the excuse Yong Soo needed to disable the tracking system inside of him and Jin, kidnap the bot, and start moving towards the seedier part of town. Yong Soo had a place to hide, hopefully. There was just a much chance of him being thrown onto the street as be given protection for a bit.

Jin had been resting peacefully near the main entrance of Arthur’s estate, lying on a pile of pillows while plugged into a rather large socket. He’d barely gained a power bar before he was grabbed, quite roughly, by Yong Soo (after a quick scan). The other bot may have offered an explanation for the abrupt awakening, but there was no way Jin was able to comprehend it in his half asleep state. All he really knew was that he was being pulled somewhere...and that he still had his panda slippers on.
“Yong Soo, it’s like 3 in the morning,” Jin muttered tiredly, his battery barely charged. Stumbling forward, the bot attempted to keep up with the scarily serious Korean while feeling around in his pockets for his headband; he’d set it out in the sun the other day and hoped it would give him a little power boost. Jin stifled a yawn behind his sleeve and slipped the accessory on, instantly gaining enough energy to at least take in his surroundings.
He winced, visibly, noting the run down buildings and torn streets associated with the poorer sections of Eishoff. Jin glanced towards his captor, posed for a question, before he stopped. Despite the unfamiliar location and the faint buzzing in his head, what confused him the most, really, was the absence of Yong Soo’s smile. It unnerved him a little, especially since he’d learnt to associate everything bright and smiley and sunny with the Korean bot.
“Hey...something wrong?”

Hyung Soo sat by his window with a cup of tea as he gazed over the city. From there he could see the beaten and battered buildings, the shops that had seen better days, and the few streetlamps that weren’t broken. In the distance, over the rooftops, the shine of the downtown district could be seen. He took a sip of his tea and rested his chin on his knuckles.
His eyes quickly did a scan of his small apartment. His small kitchen, a couch, a counter, and a bed in the corner of the room. To the right was the bathroom, and beside him to the window was his birdcage. Inside slept his canary, one which had no name.
Now you may be wondering, why was this Korean up at three in the morning? It had all begun when he was rudely awakened from his slumber to the sound of screaming. He got up and, in only his pajama bottoms and a wife beater, went to the door where the screams came from. The door was to a woman’s apartment. Her name was Anne. He knocked on Anne’s door. A man answered. Hyung Soo told him to get out before he ‘gave him a third eye’ (since, honestly, why else would a woman scream bloody murder at three in the morning lest she was being beaten or, worse…) The man told him to mind his own business. So, Hyung Soo pistol whipped the ever loving god out of the man. You know, the usual. The man left, Hyung Soo comforted Anne, then went back to his apartment and made some tea.
Now he stared out over the city, his mind half numb. Even if she hadn’t woken him up, he may have decided to wake anyway. This was just something he enjoyed, watching the city, the lights. ‘You’re like batman. But, you know…evil.’ Hyung Soo recalled his American colleague saying. Hyung Soo had given him a dead pan look. ‘Who?...and did you just call me evil?’ ‘You don’t know who batman is? I knew it was bad in North Korea but good god-‘ ‘You are avoiding my question.’ ‘He’s like…like…like the ultimate guy. He looks out for people and can do anything because he’s the god damn batman.’ ‘Interesting. However I do believe that you did just call me evil, so I think you should give me 20 laps soldier.’ ‘But we’re in a pet store!’ ’50 laps.’
Hyung Soo smiled. He did not know who this man of bats was, however he did sound interesting. Interesting indeed.

"It's two fourty eight in the morning. I would have waited until you were fully charged, but then Captain K would be there and it would have been hard to sneak you out and deactivate your tracking device and gps and stuff." Yong Soo clarified as he watched Jin put on the panda headband. He allowed himself a small smile as Jin put on the panda headband that he made for the Chinese bot ages ago. And he said it wouldn't be nessicary.
He really wished it wasn't nessicary though... If Ivan hadn't done all that, Jin would be able to function just fine with sleep and food and being at home with his sister and brother and the rest of his family.
"Yeah, something's wrong. Something's really, really, really wrong. But I'm gonna try really hard to fix it." he reassured Jin, clinging tighter to his hand. "It's gonna take a while to do, and I might not be able to fix it all the way. I'm gonna fix it the best I can though. I promise." Taking a deep breath, he stopped outside the door of his long estranged brother.
"I'm gonna introduce you to someone. I haven't seen him in a long time, so I don't know how he's going to react to me popping in like this with you. But if everything goes well, we're gonna stay here with him a while." Yong Soo's hand was shaking when he knocked on the door.

It took a moment for Jin to process exactly what Yong Soo had told him, warning signals blaring off one by one in his mainframe.
“Wait, you did what?!” Jin tried his best to pull his hand out of the Korean’s death grip, but faltered, not wanting to needlessly waste any of his energy. “Yong Soo, you’ve broken like three laws already! Four if you include breaking and entering. You’re going to get Mr. Braginsky in a lot of trouble...”
Unless that was what he was trying to do? But that didn’t make any sense...why would a bot want to incriminate their master on purpose? And he looked really serious about something too... It still unsettled him to see such a foreign expression on Yong Soo’s face. With so many of his basic functions deactivated, along with being in a strange place without Arthur, Jin felt a spark of fright cross his wires. Regardless, he allowed Yong Soo to drag him into a seedy looking apartment building.
“What is this place...?” he asked, looking around with wide eyes. “I don’t…get it...”

Hyung Soo’s ears perked to the sudden knock on his door. At this hour? I swear if it’s Conner on another high trip I really will throw him out the window. Slightly irritated, the Korean man got up from his spot and walked towards the door. Whoever decided to interrupt his thoughts, and come to him at such a bad hour, better have a good reason.
He opened the door and looked quickly at the two in front of him. Two Asian kids. Great. He slammed the door and went began to walk back to his chair before he stopped because, well, one of those Asian kids looked kind of familiar. Like looking in a mirror.
He quickly opened the door again to stare into a distorted reflection of himself. He blinked, then looked at the other boy. He was in some sort of pajamas and had panda slippers (and a panda head band). Hyung Soo looked back at the one directly in front of him. He touched his own face, then slowly touched the others. He dropped his voice until it was barely auditable in the dark hallway. “Nam dong-seng? Yong Soo? Is that you?”

"It's not breaking and entering when you have a key and the security system is that easy to hack." It wasn't the first time he had gone into Captain K's house uninvited. He had told Arthur time and time again if he didn't want Yong Soo to just walk in he'd get some guards or a security system that the average 15 year old student couldn't hack.
"Trust me, Ivan's in a lot more trouble then a kidnapping charge." He muttered,
"This, this is my brother's home. He doesn't know I got turned to a bot or anything, and this is the first time I'm going to see him in like two years. I'll explain soon Jin, but you have to just trust me right now."
Several moments passed before the door opened, only to be slammed in his face with barely a glance. Yong Soo couldn't say he was surprised. Hyung always seemed traditional, like their parents. They probably told him about him willingly giving up his humanity and becoming a machine. They would have to find somewhere else to stay now, but they couldn't use any cards without them being tracked. It wasn't like anyone accepted cash in this day and age. He was about to turn and try to find somewhere else to hide with Jin, when the door was jerked open again.
"Hyung..." Yong Soo whimpered when he felt his brother's hand on his cheek. His mouth opened, and whatever explination he had planned was swallowed by the wet sob that escaped. The last few days of stress and worrying and moral delima caught up with him. Yong Soo clung to Hyung Soo, burrying his face in his chest and started to sob.

The bot scowled a bit at the jab at his owner’s security protocol, regarding it as an insult to Arthur himself. The indignation was replaced with confusion yet again, not only when Yong Soo mentioned Ivan in a less than admiring tone, but also when he mentioned having a brother. Was that even possible? He knew Yong Soo was special, but...
Jin lowered his gaze wordlessly, giving the other a silent nod. Yong Soo would know better, wouldn’t he? He was almost on the same level as Mister Braginsky and Arthur; not quite as high, but certainly above him – things would just be easier if he followed orders, no matter how confusing they seemed to be.
The door was open for not three seconds before it slammed shut, only adding to the puddle of questions currently sloshing around in his head. Jin looked to Yong Soo for clarification, trying to ignore his grim look. Just as he was about to pose another question, the door opened again, revealing someone who looked eerily similar to Yong Soo except for a few key differences...such as the lack of any humour in his eyes and the addition of a very long braid.
Jin stepped back a bit, wary of the man who had answered the door. It was only when Yong Soo leaped forward, an odd, clear liquid spilling from his eyes, that he realised the strange person was the one they had come here for. The smaller bot remained where he stood, trying his best to process the situation, a light wind tousling his bangs.
He bristled at the contact, but again, said nothing.

At first Hyung Soo didn’t know how to react to the situation. He had gone through the cycle of death already, and so was not prepared for this sudden turn of events. He had mourned for Yong Soo, had cried his tears, had broken a very nice table, and finally after so long had accepted the facts. And now this? How was this possible? Dead men don’t walk again.
Perhaps a dream? He had had them so many times before; his brother being kidnapped or burned alive. Even if this is a dream, I don’t mind. Let me dream.
With shaky hands he wrapped his arms around his brother, before holding him close with a death like grip. With his right hand he cradled his brother’s head, while with the other he held his body close. Tears streamed down his own face as he managed to steady his voice. “I don’t understand at all Yong Soo. T-they told me you were dead. All of them. I looked and looked, but you were gone. You were dead.” His body shivered at the painful memories as he shook his head, “I am so sorry Nam dong-seng. I have failed you.”
He sniffled slightly and shivered once more before he looked towards the second boy, who gave them a very confused look. Hyung Soo rubbed his brother’s back and cooed to him softly as he regarded the other. Finally he spoke up. “And who is this Yong Soo? A friend? Your…partner? Was he also taken away, like you?”

Yong Soo just shook his head, rubbing his face and soaking Hyung Soo's night shirt. He refused to move at all from his brother's arms until his sobs died down to sniffles. "I almost wish I had died." he mumbled, tugging away to wipe off his face.
"This is Jin. He's... very important to me, Hyung. I went willingly, but he got taken." Reaching over, he took Jin's hand and nudged him closer to the door. "We need a place to hide for a while. A place where no one can find us. You were the only person I could think of that I could trust."
Taking a deep breath,Yong Soo leaned towards Hyung Soo again. "I have a lot of stuff to tell you, Hyung. It's a really long story, and it involves a lot of things I've done that I really regret now. But you have to promise to listen to me, and to not do anything. Not go to the police, or the government, or to go kill Ivan or anything no matter what I tell you does to your sense of justice. No matter what, you have to promise to listen to what I decide to do. I know I can't just come out of nowhere after so long after vanishing, but I have to ask you to trust me. Please Hyung, will you listen to me?"

Jin gave the man another glare, looking away from the scene and willing himself to focus on the worn carpet under his feet. He was still trying very hard to understand everything that was happening, hoping he wouldn’t overheat in the process. Yong Soo had said this person was his brother, but bots were manufactured, not born...maybe it was metaphorical? But they looked so much alike...the genetic similarities (if Yong Soo had any genes that is) were obvious. The bot pushed that inconsistency aside in favour of the one he’d been trying to figure out from the beginning – why had he been kidnapped? What was wrong?
He looked up In surprise when Yong Soo pulled him forward, blushing slightly when the other bot referred to him as ‘very important’. That meant that Yong Soo thought he was useful! ...Maybe that was why he was brought along? To help? It still didn’t make any sense why he would want to do all of this under their masters’ knowing about it... Was it going to be a surprise?
“Your face is leaking,” he whispered, unsure if Yong Soo was aware of the malfunction. “You should look into that once we get inside.”

Hyung Soo gazed at his brother as he was given a quick explanation, if you could call it that. What did he mean he went willingly, but that this other boy was taken? And what did he mean don’t try to get the government or try to kill this man named Ivan (who he immediately made note of). If Yong Soo was mentioning this, then that meant he knew exactly what Hyung Soo would do.
He would have me stand by and hide like a coward while the man who did-whatever it is just-
His eyes flashed with rage and he curled his hand into a fist, not bothering to hide his obvious anger. How could he not want to take action immediately? A kidnapper of children- this man could not go free. Hyung Soo had done much worse for crimes that were much less.
But just as the anger came, so too did the soothing feeling in his heart. I just need to listen. I have time. I have all the time in the world. Yong Soo is safe. The Korean took a deep breath and thought over the situation. That was right. He might not be able to go after the man tonight, or perhaps the next night, or even the next year. But someday, someday Yong Soo would allow him to seek the other out. Or, at least let his guard down and forget the promise he made his brother swear to.
“Alright. That is fine nam dong-seng. I will listen, and I will act as your shelter. I will refrain from action, if that is what you wish,” He reached out and stroked his brothers hair, “Just as long as you’re safe. And as long as you promise to tell me everything. Now come in, both of you. It is not safe out here.” He looked over to the boy who held his brother’s hand. The slightest of blushes was evident on his face.
He ushered the two inside and shut the door behind them, locking it quickly.

"I'm not leaking Jin. I'm crying. I'll probably be crying for a while off and on, and I can't stop it." He rubbed Jin's hand, trying to reassure the other.
Yong Soo winced as Hyung Soo's eyes flashed and he all but growled. Hyung Soo was a military official and his record spoke for itself. A small part of him did want to see Hyung Soo lose it and go beat the fear of god into Ivan, make him pay for what he did.
He relaxed as Hyung Soo ran a hand through his hair. He was going to listen for now at least. "I will. I don't know everything for sure yet, but I'll tell you what I know."
Grimancing, Yong Soo turned Jin around so he was facing away from him. "I guess first thing we should do is to register the two of us in your name. Jin, I need to open your skull cap so Hyung can enter his social security number into us and become our new owner."

Jin gave a small bow and stepped into the room, unaccustomed to being in such a small space. It was such a stark contrast to Arthur’s estate...though it did seem familiar. That nice blond he had met a while back...Matthew? He lived in a place similar to this, didn’t he?
The bot turned as Yong Soo addressed him, furrowing his brow as the Korean offered an explanation for his faulty eyes.
“Crying? What for?” he asked, now completely unsettled, despite his attempts at reassurance. “It isn’t necessary to simulate sadness when our owners aren’t around, you know? You don’t need to do that.”
He looked on quietly as the brothers continued to talk, feeling more and more lost with each word. He brightened, just slightly, when Yong Soo approached him once more, allowing the taller bot to face him in the other direction. His calmness was shattered immediately after hearing what Yong Soo intended to do – friend or not, there was no way Jin would allow this complete stranger to replace Arthur.
“No,” he said firmly, trying to turn back around to glare at the other. “Are you on the fritz? I don’t know what you’re planning, and I’m sure you have very good intentions, really, but I’m not about to let him replace Daddy!”

Everything is fine. Hyung Soo ran his fingers through his bangs, his other hand leaning against the door as he took a deep breath. He had dealt with kidnappers before. This was nothing new. He had seen worse.
However, when his brother approached the other boy he said the oddest thing. Register? What did he mean register? Like legal documents? Perhaps the man legally adopted them… Which would make little sense, since they both seemed to be of age. However then Yong Soo said something about the boy's skull cap and owner.
Hyung Soo froze on the spot as he gazed into the other boy's eyes. Those eyes he had seen before. As if something was missing. That thing that his parents had always been wary of.
His body suddenly gaining control, Hyung Soo stormed towards the other boy, practically pushing his brother out of the way as he grabbed onto him. To stare into those eyes. “You’re not human….are you?” He blinked, then turned to his brother, his voice steady but dangerous, “He’s not human, is he? And if he’s not, that means that when you say we-then-“ He whirled around and grabbed his brother by the wrist, his eyes large, his palms sweaty, “Then-you! What about you! What do you mean WE?!”
