Jin had never been to Francis’ estate unaccompanied, so he stood outside the building for a while, silently counting the windows. The number of windows would give him the number of rooms, and he simply needed to plug that amount into an equation to produce a virtual map for him to follow. It took a few minutes to process, but it was quicker than stumbling around the grounds like a vagabond and tarnishing his owner’s good name.
‘Mentally’ pulling up his newly created guide, the svelte bot walked into the large mansion, explaining his reason for being there to one of the bots near the entrance. Arthur needed to call off the day’s business meeting due to (surprise) another, more ‘pressing’ business meeting, and had sent Jin to apologise. The bot had acted hesitant about going, knowing of his owner’s supposed dislike of the man (though the he was skeptical about how true that claim was), but was actually quite eager to deliver the message. Knowing that the Frenchman was a huge name in the fashion business was a huge plus.
After looking around for a bit, Jin walked up a spiral staircase and headed directly for the room he knew to be Francis’s, remembering it from the last time he’d been there with Arthur. He walked into the open door, stepping back shyly when he noticed he’d walked in on what looked like a very hectic photo shoot. His hopes were elevated slightly when he realised he might catch a sneak peek at the next season’s line – bot or not, Jin loved keeping track of the latest clothing trends, despite Arthur’s disinterest regarding the fashion industry.
“Good afternoon Mister Bonnefoy,” he called out, standing in the open doorway. “I’m sorry for bothering you, but Daddy’s sent me to tell you that he won’t be able to attend today’s scheduled meeting. If you’d like to reschedule, I’ll be willing to record the new date for his reference. ...Erm, when you have the time, I suppose...”

Francis was needless to say, rather busy and looking rather dishabille. His hair was up in a messy pony tail and he was wearing his tinted glasses that told his crew exactly just how bad the day would be. ( The glasses were only worn when their boss was nursing a hangover. )
His clothes too were rather plain, but comfortable. He opted for baby blue slippers but no one would dare mention it and how it was against safety regulations. But half the models still cursed him because despite the very obvious hangover and how hastily he threw himself together, he was still so attractive.
All Francis could think about as he barked orders and demands at his crew was that he had to see Kirkland today, and mon dieu, he really didn't want to. And with one of his models missing, his mood was just turning darker by the second. He hadn't even noticed the new arrival.
It wasn't until his secretary (one that didn't fear his snapping, which is why she was paid the most) pointed out the asian boy in the doorway that Francis hopes rose along with a smile on his face. Until he recognized that it was Jin, Kirkland's bot.
He arrived early. Hours early.
Francis was going to do the sensible thing and make sure that the damn missing model would never work in the industry again. He marched up to the bot. But as he walked closer and closer his eyes were analysing the bot. Asian? Check. Attractive? More so than the model that didn't show. Francis started to stare appreciatively at the bot. He had a good face, and great hips. And the Frenchman could appreciate a good pair of hips, seeing as he rarely worked with women who had them.
And with that, Arthur Kirkland completely slipped Francis' mind. All there was the shoot that just had to get done. "Jin, oui? Sorry I didn't catch what you said, but never mind Kirkland. Do you think you can model?"

Jin waited patiently as the blond approached, glancing around the busy room all while trying to keep his excitement in check. He’d seen a number of Francis’s editorials and caught glimpses of his runway shows on the numerous mega screens littering the Western Sector’s shopping district. Jin had also downloaded a number of bi-monthly fashion catalogues onto his tablet, which he’d flip through whenever Arthur wasn’t looking. The designs at BonneVie were highly sought after – anyone who was anyone owned at least one piece. Needless to say, Jin was a huge, if not very quiet, fan.
Francis’s request however, was enough to trigger a surprised squeak from the normally composed bot.
“M-Model?” Jin repeated, a blush staining his pale cheeks. “Me? Really? Um...I dunno how good I’d be, I mean...I’ve never had any training and Daddy’s never bothered installing any programs with that sort of information.”
That was a lot of exposure to think about – if his face made its way onto magazine inserts and billboards, he might even become more recognisable than his owner! ...And he wasn’t really sure if that was a good thing or a bad thing. Were bots even allowed to fulfill other people’s requests without their owner’s consent? What if Arthur got upset and disowned him?
“I’d probably like, wreck your campaign or something,” he continued, trying to look anywhere but the Frenchman’s face. “No one wants to see a bot in something so notable…Besides, my eyebrows are like...English ’n stuff...”
He continued muttering reasons against taking up the position, even though, deep down inside his circuitry, a tiny little part of him wished that he could just shut up and say ‘yes’.

Francis being unconventional in many many ways and in a bad mood was probably not the best combo. "Je m'en fou de ton- owner and your programs! Do you want to model or not!?"
The whole room stalled completely, all eyes were on the boss and the Asian bot with him. Francis too suddenly found himself holding his breath.
( "I don't give a damn" is basically what he's saying up there. ^^;; )

It was a good thing bots didn’t have emotions, otherwise Jin would have needed a few sessions of therapy to completely get over being yelled at by his number one fashion idol. That isn’t to say he wasn’t rattled by it – in fact he was quite visibly shaken, and would have liked to hide under a cushion if it didn’t mean bringing shame to the Kirkland brand. Still, being chastised, and so suddenly, did not do his brittle self confidence any favours.
“Yeah, sure, fine, whatever; just please don’t ever do that again,” Jin quickly blurted out, shaking slightly. “...And if I suck you have to agree not to sue daddy.”
He barely whispered the last bit, a little afraid that the blond would throw a plate of escargot at him. There weren’t any in the room that he could see, but the French had their ways...

'Yeah, sure, fine' was all that registered in Francis's head, and it allowed him to let out the breath he was holding. He blinked at the requests, and it made him smile. "Of course, I wouldn't sue your father. He has nothing to do with my work, other than the shipments and..." Francis stared long and hard at the boy. The smile becoming softer, "Je te demande pardon, mon beau." He took off his tinted glasses, "let us get to work, we have a schedule to keep. Welcome to BonneVie, Jin Kirkland."

“Thanks, I think,” the bot nodded nervously, relaxing a bit as the blond led him away from the door. Still, he kept a wary eye out just in case there were anymore sudden outbursts.
It occurred to Jin that he didn’t ask how long this would take, but was frankly too afraid to at this point. He’d just do whatever Francis asked of him, and if Arthur asked why he took so long, he’d blame it on the Frenchman. Since the two already shared what seemed to be a pretty sour relationship, there would be no hard feelings~
...Hopefully.
“So, what exactly do you need me to do?” he asked, hoping that he’d be able to perform it without too much difficulty.

"First of all, I don't want to see you for the next ten minutes as Madeline ice, is going to do your make up and wardrobe in record timing. " His eyes was on the girl, and obviously it was both a challenge and a threat for her. she looked up to the task, and rather nervous at the same time. Francis knew that it okay to be a bit nervous, it kept you on your toes. But only a bit, mostly he wanted to see rise to anything he would throw at her, or at any of his workers. "I am going to get the rest of the crew ready."

“Makeup…?” Jin blinked, turning to the woman Francis was looking at. “Um, yes sir. See you in ten minutes then.”
He walked over to the girl and bowed slightly, allowing her to take him where she needed. He was going to be posing amongst professionals that knew what they were doing. The possibility of sticking out like a sore thumb made him uneasy, but it was enough of an incentive to force him to try his best. After all, humans were prone to making mistakes – if Jin learned quickly enough from their slip ups, he would be the perfect model in no time.
“...Just checking; I’m filling in for a male model, right?” he asked, wondering why he hadn’t thought to ask earlier.

The woman replied enthusiastically, obviously relaxing once out of ear shot from her boss. "Yes, yes, and don't worry, you'll look amazing, Monsieur Bonnefoy is amazing at what he does. Today is just not his best day for his mood..."
She quickly applied makeup and led him to a changing room. "Here, quickly, put this on. We're doing the winter line up, by the way"
She held out the clothes and began to describe them, in Madeline's opinion it was very important to know where the clothes were coming from and going to be a good model and model's assitant:
"first of all we've got some classic denim, black skinny jeans, which are going to look really hot on you by the way." She mentally damned his hips while she tossed the pants at him.
"Next we got your top, simple white for underneath the suit jacket, which is grey and teal blue, which will really pop out against your hair, and this-" she held out a scarf next. "I'm going to be first in line for this, it is so soooft. White, same shade as your shirt and just nggh."
"Next is personally my favourite though, the boots, (your socks by the way are checkered black and white, they're cute~) but these boots are great. Clean black leather, with a loose tongue leather boots, and just a slight heal. On the clip, there's a silver snowflake, and even though you would think it would be girly, these boots are actually very masculine." She tossed everything at Jin, while explaining that she was totally going to buy those boots for her boyfriend.

Jin nodded quietly as Madeline explained what he was going to wear, his excitement building as each new piece was revealed. He thanked her and took the clothes before entering the dressing room, taking off everything save his panda patterned boxers. The button at the base of his spine glinted as he pulled on the black skinny jeans, wiggling a bit to get them over his infamous hips. He was actually very surprised that they fit – usually he had to do his pants shopping at the woman’s section of department stores, which was more than a little embarrassing.
The clothes were all of a very nice quality; even he could feel just how soft the fabric was compared to lesser brands – he supposed it was due to the high thread count. After putting on the crisp top, he buttoned up the grey jacket halfway, pulling on the scarf and arranging it in a way that looked both messy and stylish. That was the sort of image he was trying to project – one of those gender ambiguous pretty boys who looked disheveled and yet still very put together. Oh yeah~
Jin pulled on the boots that Francis’s assistant seemed to love so much, taking a moment to appreciate their design before inspecting their snowflake clips, finding them rather cute. He honestly wasn't a big fan of the socks, but then again, he wasn't fond of ANY sort of socks, designer or otherwise.
He looked himself over a few times from every angle, hoping that his brand and serial number wouldn’t poke out from beneath the scarf as he moved around. Finally, he gave himself a mental jolt of self confidence before deciding he was ready.
“Ready for my closeup Monsieur,” he sighed, coming out from the dressing room with his hands in his pockets.

"Parfait," Francis nodded in approval, he even let a small smile show and he directed at the assistant. "On commence! Prennez vos place!"
It was company policy that every worker be fluent in French or at least, making a very great effort to learn the language. BonneVie also offered French classes for their workers. The Bonnefoy family took their native language very seriously.
"Jin, go stand next to the other model please." The mentioned model was ginger and about the same height as Jin. He was wearing an identical outfit to Jin except for in different colours. He had a great smile and seemed to be a very easy going type of person.

Jin nodded and walked towards the other model, a faint blush still tinging his cheeks. Standing next to the ginger, the bot gave him a brief nod and looked away, still rather flustered about everything.
He really should have asked earlier if there were going to be other people involved... Well, he knew that there were other models on the set, but he never thought that he would have to be photographed with them...
Aah, he was way outside his comfort zone for this task. He really wished Francis would let him spend a few minutes looking for suitable modeling programs to download, but frankly, it was too late at this point. Also, he didn't know if he could handle getting yelled at again.

Francis gave them instructions, he wasn't shouting them out as he normaly would have, in fact he seemed rather calm in his approach, his crew didn't know whether this was good or bad.
The designer told them both how to pose, the ginger's eyes seemed to glee with understanding, so Francis decided to pour his sole attention onto Jin, bot or not, he was still an amateur -one that Francis had forcefully recruited so, he would treat him as such.
"Jin, I want you to disregard all of your programming. For the moment you are a model, my model. You will look merveilleux because I will make it so, and all I need from you is one simple thing."
He smiled, as he looked up at the crew member who was on a lift above them, the worker seemed to realize that this was his cue, so he began his job at once.
Snow began to fall all around them.
"All I need from you Jin, is a look of pure wonder."

Jin's blush intensified upon hearing the command, and the bot stood there squeaking for a few seconds before regaining his composure.
"Okay like, you know that's kind of impossible for me right?" Jin asked, trying to remain as respectful as possible. "Like, you don't just walk up to a calculator and ask it to make you a latte; it doesn't work that way, yeah? Like...don't expect a miracle or anything..."
Regardless of his inhibitions, Jin tried his best to evoke a look of, as Francis put it, 'pure wonder'. He thought back to his past experiences, quietly trying to remember a time where he felt something akin to what was being requested.
After a bit of thought, the expression slowly made its way onto the young bot's face as he pulled up the memory of the fist time he'd seen Arthur pull something out of the oven. It was so...crispy...and cracked...and such an interesting shade of black too...
So amazing...~
