Head lamps were increadabley useful. Granted, they were usually used by coal miners and other subterrainian prone beings. Less bulky versions like the one Yong Soo was currently wearing were most often used to read books in dark locations. His was serving the particular task of illuminating his notebook as he sketched out his newest idea. Usually he would just have been in the Ebil Lab for his projects, but not this time. The work on his nekomimi models was almost complete, and that was the problem. All the fun bits were done. All that was left was testing to make sure the programs worked the way they wanted.
So, in what was to soon be a repeating cycle, Yong Soo ditched and worked on something more fun. A few hours later and the inventor was trying to track down his newest test subject.
“Allie~ I need your help. I came up with a new mod i want you to try out.”

It had only been two days since Allie had gotten her normal body back and she was still not in the best of moods. Yes, Ivan had still liked her despite her sudden change in gender but it had still been difficult and strange for her to have a new body, so she was happy to be back to normal.
Though the presence of Yong Soo in the penthouse kept her in a foul mood. She still hadn't forgiven him for what he had done and she didn't know how long it would take for her to want to talk to him again. As if brought about by her thoughts, Allie heard the other bot's voice and she frowned, looking up from the meal she was preparing for Ivan.
"I am busy right now, Yong Soo."

Hearing the blond bot’s voice coming from the kitchen, Yong Soo poked his head in. “Cooking dinner for Ivan?” The question wasn’t really needed. Unless it was a family meal, Allie didn’t tend to cook for anyone else. As well, he could work on the ears and stuff for a few hours until she was free for him.
“That’s cool. Hey, when you’re done I need you to come to the lair. I have this idea for a great new mod. You’ve watched the Little Mermaid movie, right? Well, I wanna give you you a fin like Ariel.” He wasn’t going to remove her legs for this. Rather, he was just gong to incase them in a costume fin that was more realistic looking then the ones he saw on newtube. But, in order to make them function properly, he’d have to go and creating programming to teach her to swim with her legs together rather than her legs. “I promise though, no real changes to your body this time. Just a costume and some programming to let you function with it.” Allie had been borderline hysterical last time. He’d rather avoid that this time around.

Allie looked over at the kitchen door, her eyes narrowing at the other bot. Stupid Yong Soo, thinking he was so special and so much better than her, simply because he was a human in the body of a bot. That didn’t make him special! She could feel just as much as he could! Turning away from the Korean, she tried to focus on the meal she was making for Ivan. It was a simple pasta dish but she didn’t want to risk messing it up.
However, the mention of another mod made her pause. Was… was Yong Soo really asking this? This couldn’t be real, could it? She was probably just hallucinating him asking her to make a new mod for him. There was no way he could be that stupid. But as the other bot kept blabbing about what he was going to do, it became clear to her that he was not joking.
“No.”

The narrowed eyes and cold demeanor were easily missed by the Korean bot. Granted, his mind was a bit preoccupied with strings of code for psuedo muscle movement and wondering how restricting the tail should be for best illusion. Not to mention the tail color. Allie seemed to strike him as the red tailed type. It wouldn’t be too fancy. Just a hint of shine and a basic monofin at the end would do nicely. All those ribbons and extra trailing fins and excessively long fringe at the end would just take away from her girl next door beauty.
He was so preoccupied with his thoughts that he almost didn’t hear the no that took him completely by surprise. “No? What do you mean no? I already told you, it’s not gonna be a change in your body. It’s just gonna be a costume and movement programming. It’s not even a full mod. More an expansion pack. So, when you’re done helping out Ivan, stop by the lab so I can take measurements for the tail.” Honestly, some days he really wished he could just reprogram her so she wasn’t so sensitive about everything.

Why was Yong Soo questioning her? Didn’t the word no mean the same thing to him that it did for her? It meant no, she did not want another stupid modification that would be of no use to anyone other than rich idiots who treated their bots like toys. No, she did not want to be Yong Soo’s guinea pig. No, she would not meet him in the lab, no matter how much he whined.
“I said no. I am making Ivan dinner and then after he eats, I want to do something fun. Maybe I’ll get Ivan to watch TV with me. That sounds much more fun than being your little plaything.” She glared at him as she continued chopping a garlic clove into fine little pieces, her knife hitting the cutting board harder than necessary and leaving gouges in the wood.

Seriously? Maybe he could just made a slight adjustment to her system. Just enough so she’d be open to changes and mods and not act like a kid who was just ordered to do five hours of math problems.
“Watching TV with Ivan is more fun.” Yong Soo soothed the blond. “And you can do that when it’s all done. It’ll only take a few minutes. I just need a scan of your body and internal structure so I can start making the fin. Just come in when Ivan’s eating his dinner and you’ll be done before he’s even finished eating. It’ll be a few days before I have it made and need you for more tests.”

Allie chopped the garlic piece she was working on with such force at Yong Soo's next words that the knife got stuck in the cutting board. Glaring at it, as though it were the source of her troubles, she yanked it out of the board and turned to face Yong Soo.
"Why don't you understand, you idiot? I do not want to test out any of your stupid modifications any more! I want to simply spend my time helping Ivan. Now, kindly go away so I can finish Ivan's dinner."

Yong Soo glanced at the knife stuck in the chopping board. He forgot how ungodly strong Allie was. Then again he was pretty sure that there was an optional body guard program they could download into her. He was gonna keep that information from his sometimes paranoid father figure.
“What’s there to understand? You don’t like the mods. I get that. That’s why I’m going out of my way to explain them to you and stuff instead of just doing them like last time. I mean, that’s one of the main reasons we bought you for. You can’t just ignore one of your main purposes. I can’t just keep going out and buying bots because you’re being too sulky to do your job.”

Allie inspected the knife, making sure that there was no wood stuck to it or damage done from slamming it into the wood. Thankfully, there wasn't, so she went back to chopping garlic, really wishing that Yong Soo would just get a clue and leave already.
Unfortunately, he didn't, so she turned on him, glaring once more. "No, you don't get it! I'm tired of being treated like something you can do anything you want to and that I don't get a say! I don't care if you ask politely! I don't want to be your guinea pig anymore!"

“Oh for the love of- Are you even listening to what you’re saying?” Really, he had the patience of a saint. Who else would go to such lengths to consider the irrational feelings of a bot?
“Of course you don’t really get a say. What does it matter if you want to do something or not? You are a bot. You do not have a say in anything. You don’t get to decide what you want. You’re a bot. The only reason I haven’t just deactivated you and done it was because it would upset Ivan. So stop whining and just do what you’re programmed to do.”

Allie's anger dissipated almost as soon as Yong Soo began speaking again. He was throwing all her fears right back in her face, her fear that she meant nothing, because she was simply a bot. Her fear that the only reason she wasn't deactivated and given away was because Ivan would be upset and even he didn't understand her feelings completely.
"I... I h-hate you..." With that, she dropped the knife onto the counter and fled the room, feeling her eyes water with artificial tears.

"Oh for the love of kimchi." Yong Soo muttered. Honestly, it'd be easier just to get Jin and turn him into a girl again to do the upgrades. Why did Captain K have to be so particular and fussy? Jin was oodles better at listening then Allie was. Also, Jin lacked being in permanate PMS mode. Maybe he could talk Ivan into a mod or a replacement bot. Allie was supposed to be his test subject. She couldn't be if she was always insulting him and acting like she could do whatever she wanted. He should have just gotten Ivan a cat or something. At least cats were quieter.
"Fuck this. I'm talking to Ivan in the morning. I need a test subject, not someone to try and make happy."

Crying, Allie fled down the hall, not really paying attention to where she was going. Why was Yong Soo always the cause of her tears lately? He just thought that he could do whatever he wanted because he used to be human and still thought and felt like a human. He wasn’t just a machine, like her… No wonder Ivan liked him better. She was just a machine to help him, while Yong Soo was a human companion, despite his artificial body. How could she compete with that?
