Her brother was alive. If he wasn't alive, someone was playing a terrible trick on her by having two men look like her brother. But the man from the party was like her memories. He was dignified and charming. But he was also with some TRAMP which upset her to no end. He looked as if he was having a good time, which led to her breaking a glass with her false hand. It didn't hurt too much since the hand was built to last. Still, she had went to the doctor to make sure things were at their best. The last thing she could have was something damaged and breaking during a performance. While she was sure her hand didn't really work in such a way that it would be easily damaged by a glass fragments, others were too worried about her for to simply to ignore it. The doctors didn't spend long looking over her hand. The removed the tiny shards and gave her arm a full inspection. There weren't any problems and she was sent home.
Oddly, the moment she left the hospital there was a man standing on the opposite side of the street. It was the man from last night! It was the man who was her brother! Her blue eyes widened as she stared at him intensely. He was alone? He was alone. What luck! If he was alone, she could speak with him. But her lips wouldn't move. Her real arm fell lip and her legs refused to move. What was this? She was...scared? She had already seen a man that looked like Ivan that turned to be someone else. Perhaps Ivan didn't really look like any of these men and she simply followed older Russian males because that was the only link she had to her brother. If she talked to him and this man really wasn't her brother, than how heartbroken would she be? It was a real possiblity. If it was her brother, shouldn't he have noticed her? Shouldn't he have come for her years ago? Shouldn't he have left that TRAMP OF A WOMAN last night and come embrace her instead?
Natalya frowned as she watched him. This matter...it required further investigation. Yes! She would investigate this man herself. She could follow him. Her clothing and appearance was anything but conspicuous, but she had confidence in herself. If she followed him for awhile, she would know if he was truly her brother.

This is part of of why Ivan hated taking taxis. He ended up stuck in the middle of the city in an area he didn't generally go that often. He'd only been the hospital once or twice, but not for anything major in his own right. The only times he'd ever come to the hospital were to see Yong Soo before he'd cyberized the young man personally down at the complex under the ice-shelf.
Today in particular had just been a series of absolutely absurd inconveniences. Originally, today was the day of the month where he donated a modest sum of money to the hospital for their cybernetic therapy research. Unfortunately, the automated system he'd set up with them to just deposit the money directly in their accounts had to be taken down for maintenance today because the "new IT guy" over at the hospital wanted to understand how the blasted system worked instead of just reading the instructions. That meant he had to take the eco-units to them directly, something he wasn't fond of doing.
"Directly" meant either driving, taking the public transit, or taking a taxi. Some yuppie hooligan had slashed the tires on his car earlier in the week and being a homebody, Ivan hadn't done anything about getting them replaced yet. Taking public transit would have been dangerous, especially a large sum of money for the middle class and below. The only option left was to take... a taxi.
With a sigh, Ivan adjusted his scarf as he waited for the light to turn so he could cross the street. At least he hadn't had a clothing malfunction today. That would only have served to make things horrendously worse. Despite his frustration and displeasure at being outside for long, he forced himself to keep smiling like he always did, a feat made easier upon finally finding the sign on the buildings that denoted at hospital.
As soon as the light turned, Ivan patted his briefcase to reassure himself before crossing to the other side.
