Arthur pulled his coat on quickly, stepping out of the navigational control room on one of his boats. He crossed the deck of the ship, pausing to pat her railing. "Rest easy, girl." He commented softly, climbing down the rope ladder. Once down, he knocked twice on her side, signalling to the crew inside that the captain had left and to pull up the ladder. The Englishman took a few steps back to look up at his magnificent ship.
HMS Elizabeth.
Sure, she wasn't truly a part of Her Majesty's Royal Navy, but Arthur didn't feel right naming a ship without the honorary letters HMS. His first ship HMS Mary, had been a grand success, but his father had joked that Arthur already saw himself as a king when he unveiled the name.
A wry smile crossed Arthur's face and he turned, pushing his hands into his coat's pockets and headed up the dock. He started whistling softly, enjoying his nighttime anonymity.

A ship's captain. That was immediately apparent upon the first glance, of course. Lovino didn't often find himself at the harbor. He had no love for the sea, although he had no hate for it either. It was simply there. Water was water, land was land, and he wasn't too concerned with travel. There was nowhere to go, anyway. No better options for the moment but Eishoff.
In any case. The man looked well-off. He wouldn't miss a few coins, would he? Not that Lovino wanted to stop at pilfering just enough to get by. It was an honor, a thrill, to steal something very valuable from someone very rich.
"What exactly are you hiding...?" he mumbled to himself, hidden behind a stack of crates.
Rich people always had something to hide. Always. But it was the physical somethings he had an interest in. A locket, a broach, a pocketwatch... Something. It gave him a great, twisted pleasure to steal something not only that was valuable, but that they had a connection to.
The real difficulty was finding what it was that they prized. Theft itself he had a knack for.

Arthur continued walking, switching the tune for another softer one, before pausing and glancing over his shoulder. He felt like he was being followed. He shifted a moment, before taking another path from his usual one, fingers brushing across a knife in his pocket. He jostled his wrist, trying to sneakily hide his watch from view.

It was the subtle shifting that caught his attention. Lovino squinted to try and make out what was behind the action, but all he could catch was a slight glimmer. But he knew that glimmer was his prize. That was what he would go home with, if anything.
He followed along after, trying his very best to stay utterly silent. It couldn't stop the mounting suspense, of course. Even the most oblivious of people could usually feel a set of eyes on them. It was something of human nature to be able to spot a gaze without seeing it. And Lovino couldn't make his move in such a silent place, with no one else around. Ship captains were usually armed to the teeth. Regrettable, but true.
He'd just follow along for now.
