Panic flooded through him as he tried to stay calm. Ivan didn't even bother putting the notebook away after he wrote his final entry in it, making sure it was entirely in Russian to minimize the number of people in Eishoff who could potentially read it. Allison. Yong Soo. Those were the only two and they were the only two that ever had cause to come back here. Yong Soo would probably never return now that he'd found everything, or at least found enough to cause him to run away from the man that took him in and cared for him. Now it was just Allison and Allison wouldn't go into the workroom... No, she never went into the laboratory unless she was being strapped down for Yong Soo's experiments... something which never seemed to go over well.
Ivan pulled all of his other notebooks from their shelves, putting them in a suitcase with some clothing that he knew he would need. They needed to get out of there. He had to take Allison and they had to leave before the authorities showed up or before civilians and maybe bots came for their revenge... even if bots shouldn't have been able to wreak any such revenge. They didn't have the programming capacity for revenge... but maybe their owners did, or their families... or maybe someone hacked into them, like Yong Soo. Yong Soo was more than capable of that... Ivan muttered to himself under his breath as he hauled the suitcase out into the living room of his apartment.
Looking around, he quickly found Allison in the building. He forced a big, fake, happy smile onto his face, ignoring how disheveled he must have looked to her, hair all a mess from having pulled on it in panic. "Моё дорогое солнышко," he said with as sweet of a tone as he could manage, "We are goink on a vacation~ Just you ant me~"
(( Моё дорогое солнышко = My dear sunshine ))

Allie was in the process of making dinner for her and Ivan, humming some song she had heard on the radio. Everything was fine for her, except for the fact that she hadn’t seen Yong Soo in awhile. She didn’t really mind, since she was happy that the other bot wasn’t bothering her about any stupid experiments. It was nice not to be bothered by him, though it was strange that he hadn’t been around. Sometimes he liked to cook as well, but he hadn’t offered to cook in a few days. Had he left? She hadn’t been able to track his GPS, so he must have turned it off but for what reason, she did not know.
At Ivan’s voice, Allie turned to see him, smiling at him. “A vacation~? Just for us?” That sounded like so much fun! Yong Soo wouldn’t be there to bother them and she could be alone with Ivan. A blush crept onto her face and she smiled, turning off the stove. “I’ll go pack some clothes!” In her happiness, she didn’t realize how fake Ivan’s smile was.

Ivan barely noticed the weird color on her face in his determination to maintain his facade. She always liked being around him so he knew that she would like the thought of a vacation. Sure, the vacation wasn't really a vacation so much as going into hiding, but she didn't need to know that. As long as she didn't need to know that they were in danger, he wouldn't tell her.
"Yes~ So go pack your favorite clothes ant we will be leavink~" He clasped his hands together in front of his body, trying to seem sincere and excited. "Hurry~ We will be leaf immediately ant shoult be there before nightfall~" The sooner they were at the factory, the better. Ivan would take a taxi down the Underground Sector, and lead Allison on the short walk through some back alleys to get to the actual entrance to building. He sighed, feeling his shoulders heave from the stress. His heart-rate picked up, but he tried to stay calm enough to keep it from jumping to the levels of beeping.
They had to get out of here. Every second longer they spent in this apartment was a second they were in ever greater danger.

“Okay! I’ll make sure to bring my favorite clothes!” Allie hurried off to her room to pack her things, grabbing a suitcase from the hall closet first. Since she was a bot, she didn’t really own that many clothes, so she was able to pack all of them and still have room in the suitcase. With a smile, she closed the luggage and went out to meet up with Ivan.
“Where are we going to go?” They would probably stay in Eishoff but that was alright with her. The city was very large and there were many parts that she had not seen yet, so it would be like an adventure. “I’m so excited, Ivan! Why didn’t you tell me about this sooner?”

Ivan relaxed against the wall of the kitchen, looking over at the knife marks in the wall that he'd never quite patched up. He never really cared. Decor was always low on his list of priorities, much to other people's dismay. As soon as he heard her making her way back to the main room, he made himself perk up, pushing away from the wall and fixing his smile before joining her in the living room. No sad faces. No sad faces.
"That is because I wantet to keep it a surprise~" he said, clasping his hands together still.
Where were they going? That was a damn good question. He couldn't exactly tell her the honest truth, could he? He couldn't tell her that they were going into hiding. He couldn't tell her they were going to hide in a factory where people were killed and made into machines. He couldn't tell her anything about that. "That is also a surprise~"
He picked up his suitcase by the handle, holding his other arm out to her. "Are you ready to go~?" Ivan couldn't afford to waste anymore time.

“A surprise?” Allie stared at Ivan for a moment in confusion before smiling brightly. Ivan had never really been much for surprises, so this made her happy. What if he was actually seeing her as Allie instead of just a new bot he had gotten? Maybe he would start to see her as he saw Yong Soo, like a human… It was a bit much to hope for but that was what she desperately wanted.
Linking her arm with his, Allie smiled, carrying her suitcase with ease. She led him out of the penthouse, making sure to lock up so no one would get into their home while they were away. That was a problem they did not need. “We’ve never gone on vacation before, so this is really exciting!”

"Mhm~ A surprise~" he repeated once he had her arm.
When she reached out to lock the door though, he dropped his suitcase. "Oh," he said, taking her wrist carefully with his other hand. "Do not worry about that~ It is fine~" They couldn't waste time locking the door and there was nothing in there that he cared if it was stolen. He had his notebooks... his clothes... The only thing he'd left was that one notebook with the one entry from earlier. That was irrelevant. It was in Russian. It was trash to anyone who couldn't read the language. Everything else was junk electronics, clothes, knickknacks... Unnecessary. "Just come on~ We neet to go~"
It didn't occur to him that she might interpret his behavior as unusual, but he needed to get her out of here. She wasn't safe and neither was he. She was just a bot, why did he care what happened to her? She was his bot, no one else's bot. Her humanity was stolen by his inventions and those inventions were the very reasons they were on the run. The least he could was protect her, even if he wouldn't admit to himself that if anything happened to her... he wouldn't know what to do with himself. If only he could have protected Yong Soo... Soon everyone would know what he did and there would be a manhunt for him. Who knew what they would do when they caught him. He quickly shook his head, more to clear his thoughts as he tried to pull her away from the door to their penthouse with their suitcases.
"Hurry, or we will miss our taxi~"

Confused when Ivan grabbed her wrist, Allie looked down at his hand and then back up at Ivan. What was he doing? Why didn’t he want her to lock the door? All their things were inside! Didn’t that matter to him? Humans liked their things, didn’t they? But Ivan dragged her away from the door, heading to the elevator. She let herself be dragged, trying to think of why Ivan was acting the way he was. He was acting so strange… Maybe, once they got to where they were going, she could ask him what was going on.
“A taxi is waiting for us?” She hadn’t heard Ivan call for one inside the penthouse… Maybe she hadn’t heard? But her hearing was sharper than a human’s and she hadn’t heard anything… “Ivan, did something bad happen…?”

Ivan sighed with relief once they were in the elevator on the way downstairs. Pulling out his rPhone when he was sure Allison wasn't looking, he punched in a a request to have a taxi sent to their address through one of those nifty apps he used whenever their car was in the shop. He couldn't take the car. No. They would track that. It was too recognizable. He quickly shook his head again, not paying close attention as he slipped his phone into the inner-pocket of his winter coat.
"Hm?" Oh, dammit. She caught him. He gave her a big smile. "Oh, nothink is wronk at all, Cолнышко~ Why woult you ever think that~?" His voice shook some as he tried to lie his way out of this. Normally telling a lie was much easier, but no... The worst had happened and he was on his last strings. With an awkward laugh, he layered on the falsehoods. "We are just goink on vacation, just you ant me~ Do not worry~" He leaned over her some, giving her a hopefully reassuring kiss on the forehead.

Allie watched as Ivan seemed to fidget nervously and he spoke quickly, she knew that something was up. There was something strange going on here and she was starting to get very worried. Why was Ivan trying so hard to convince her that everything was going to be alright? Before she could voice her concerns, Ivan leaned over and pressed a kiss to her forehead.
With a soft sigh, Allie decided to stay quiet as they left the apartment building and made their way to the curb to catch their taxi. She helped the driver with their bags, picking them up with the ease of a bot. After that, she helped Ivan into the car, trying to give him a reassuring smile.

He didn't relax again until they were in the back of the taxi. Giving the driver the directions and pay in advance, the driver confirmed the address before driving off.
Ivan leaned back in his seat, resting his head on the top of it with a sigh. Today... didn't need to happen. If only they didn't have to make themselves scarce. If only he hadn't been so sentimental with his notes to leave them where a curious Korean would find them.
He'd been so stupid, so, so stupid. Now he and Allison were paying for it even though she had done absolutely nothing at all. She was caught up in this all because she happened to be made into a bot... that he ended up purchasing at Yong Soo's behest. If he didn't have to worry about her, Ivan would have been long gone. She was another reason he couldn't just off himself, aside from his own cowardice. He didn't want to think about what would happen if she found him deceased somewhere, either hung or shot. The only other option was to run.
Soon enough, the taxi went through the curved highways that led underground before driving around long enough to reach the appropriate drop-off address he'd given. It looked like nowhere. It was the confluence of several alleyways, but Ivan knew what he was looking for. Thanking the man and assuring him that they would be perfectly fine -- it wasn't every day a clearly rich man and his bot wanted to get off in the dangerous ghettos-- , he helped Allison get out with their suitcases.
The cab drove off, soon leaving them there. "Alright~ We are almost there~" he said, taking Allison's hand as he led her into one of the alleys, eyes locked on the ground as he searched.

During the ride in the taxi, Allie stayed silent, watching the roads and mapping them out in her head, incase she ever needed to find her way home from wherever they were going. A strange feeling had come over her, one she had never felt before. It was hard to place but she felt… nervous? That was close, although the feeling was stronger than that. She was nervous whenever she wanted Ivan’s approval for something she had done, nervous because she didn’t know whether or not he would give her that approval. But this feeling was different, stronger…
It wasn’t until Ivan took her by the hand and started leading her down and alleyway somewhere in the underground sector that Allie realized what it was. She was afraid. She was a bot and she was afraid, of what, she did not know but she knew that whatever was happening was bad. “I-Ivan… Why are we here?” Her voice shook and she gripped his hand tightly, hoping that he would tell her the truth. This was not a place for a vacation.

Ow. Ow. Her hand was too tight on his, but he tried to ignore it, choosing instead to smile it off until he found what he was looking for. He knew this alley very well. "You will see~"
When a familiar man-hole cover appeared in his vision, he hurried over to it. "Aha!" Prying his hand away, he bent over with a slight grunt from the strain on his knees. With the residual strength from his military days, Ivan pulled up the piece of metal.
"We go in there~" he explained, gesturing with a grin to the hole in the ground.
"I know it is... scary, but I know exactly where we are ant we will be perfectly fine~ I promise~"

Allie stared at the manhole and then back at Ivan. Had her owner lost his mind? He wanted them to go down into the sewer in one of the poorest parts of the city? At the thought of what could be down there, Allie shuddered and wrinkled her nose, even though she knew that things like that shouldn’t bother her. She was a bot and she had to do what her owner said but… what if what her owner was saying was crazy?
“We shouldn’t go down there… It’s dangerous, Ivan! And you might hurt your knees worse than they already are! L-Let’s go home, okay? O-Or to a nice hotel in the Western Sector… Please, Ivan?” Why couldn’t they just go somewhere nice for their vacation instead of a scary place like this?

"Go on~ It is safe~ I haff been here a million times~ I know it is safe~" In the man-hole was a tunnel that led nowhere but to his facility. It was bone dry in there and he knew it. It was even lit and insulated. He'd had it installed himself and then had the contractors done away with via cyberization. It wasn't something he was proud of, but it was the only way at the time. This was the sort of thing he'd kicked himself for many times over the years.
"I promise, Cолнышко," he said, hugging the man-hole cover to his chest, ignoring the fact that he was smearing grime from the street all over his nice sweater and coat. He didn't care that much anymore. "I will be right behint you ant you will haff nothink to be afrait off~"
He held his arm out to her. "Trust me?" Of course she trusted him, she belonged to him. She was an object. A special object, yes, but still an object to be possessed and controlled... or was she- no, not now! That didn't matter right now!
