Kateryna Braginskaya had left Ukraine with only one thing on her mind, to meet and reconcile with her siblings. Buying the ticket and getting the visa was easy, it was the time that it took for her to receive the visa and officially move to Eishoff that was difficult. It gave Kateryna all the time in the world to worry about the things she has tried not to think about for the last twenty-plus years.
What if....They hate me?
The possibility scared her more than anything else, that they couldn't and wouldn't forgive her for abandoning them in her teen years. She couldn't forgive herself, could she really expect them to do what she is mentally incapable of?
If waiting was difficult, being in the same city as both of siblings was impossible. Kateryna wasn't ready to face them. So instead of showing up on her brother's doorstep like she had first planned to, she had to find the quickest and cheapest accommodation the little money she had on her could buy.
She found herself in the underground sector, shady places didn't scare her, and she didn't even notice the men who greedily eyed her generous chest. Her head was full of Ivan and Natalia, it was only by luck that she realized she had found the place she was looking for, she stood outside the door, with her suitcase and carry-on bag from her flight, wondering if she should knock or ring the doorbell.

Why exactly was he pursuing this big-busted female, he mused as he followed her. She wasn't him. For one thing, she was female. Her large breasts were clearly an indicator. There was no reason to be following her. There was nothing to gain from all of this. He had left rashly after shoving the money to the customer upon a glimpse of the female of whom he assumed to be his brother. He could already imagine the lecture of being civil, as if he hasn't heard it enough already. This whole thing was a waste of time. But as much as he wanted to leave this female alone, he couldn't. Moreso, he wouldn't. He could recognize that mother-hen aura anywhere, thanks to his older brother, and this female was so familiar in that sense. They had the same air around them. Though it was stupid of him to think, it's as if this female was the female version of his brother.
He continued to follow her to the Underground Sector, where he was glad to have continued pursuing her because what the hell was she doing in this sector. Crime rate was extremely high and he knew. He lived in the Southern Sector, for Christ's sake. She did not belong in this dump of a Sector. He already saw men eyeing her hungrily and it hasn't been that long since they arrived. He gave one hell of a nasty death threat towards the lookers as well as a sharp rap in between their eyes. Not a lot of fuss was made, much to his surprise. But the time spent was enough for him to lose her tail. Frustrated, he left the 'fucking idiots who dared to stare at his "brother" with their lewd eyes' and started to search for her.
She hadn't gone far. He saw her making her way up the stairs of a shoddy building. He grimaced inwardly at the sight of the run-down and highly-likely-to-be-unsanitary structure. Was she really planning on living in that dump? Starting to get a bit more frustrated, he walked up the stairs and grabbed her arm, forcing her to look at him.
"Come live with me."

She felt an arm on her and was suddenly looking at the most intense eyes she had ever seen. Blinking in confusion at the sudden demand. She wondered if she misunderstood. Perhaps her English was more rusty than she assumed.
"Sorry?"
She stepped closer to him, perhaps her old ears were deceiving her. Most people do not approach her on the street with such a demand. Kateryna looked up at the young man with concern. Maybe he needed help and that was why he grabbed her?
It was only when she thought that she realised that she trusted that this young person meant her no harm. She smiled at him.
"Are you alright? Do you neet help?"

And of course she wouldn't suspect him of being juvenile. Here he was, telling... no, more like demanding that she live with him, and she responds by asking if he was alright and needed help. She even smiled at him, which did make him a bit happy but that wasn't the point. She shouldn't have been smiling at him; what she should have done was demand he let go before she called the cops. She really was her brother gender-switched. This was ridiculous. How could she not have a shed of imminent danger approaching from his words? He could be fucking black-market scum and sell her off where no one would hear from or of her ever again. He loved his brother, but really, he could be too much of a handful at times.
"Come live with me," he repeated. "This Sector is not a place for someone like you to stay in. Did you not notice the men staring at you? You wouldn't last a day here on your own."
He let go of her arm and grabbed her suitcase and her carry-on bag, giving her a stare. He then started to make his way down the stairs. He wasn't going to take a no for an answer, anyway. She was his brother and wasn't at the same time. She would take his brother's place. They were like the same person after all, even looked a bit alike. It was a cowardly method, but there was no way he could face his brother after what he did. She would do just fine.
Looking back when he heard no footsteps following him, he set down her luggage and stared at her again.
"Why are you just standing there like a lost child?" he stated in a rather rebuking tone. "Hurry up and follow me."

Kateryna watched the young man curiously, tilting her head in doing so. Obviously she hadn't misheard him the first time around. How strange. It has been quite a few years since a spontaneous proposal. But this wasn't so much as a proposal as an order.
She was surprised when he suddenly grabbed her luggage, she blinked and held out her hand to stop him, but her reactions have always been slow. The demanding now holding-all-she-owns man was staring up at her, the glare made her do a double take of him.
He was....familiar and yet not. She thought of the little girl she left to suffer on her own years ago. Her chest clenched at the thought. What was she doing? Thinking of little Natalya? She smiled sadly.
"Spasibo...but I think there is a misunderstanding. Perhaps you think I am someone else, da? I am sorry." If this place is for the scum of the city of the world, Kateryna Braginskaya was right at home.
She moved down the steps to re-collect her things. After all, she had nothing to her name except what was in that one suit-case her most precious things were there.

"It's not that I think. I know you're someone else," he stated, moving the luggage behind him so she couldn't get to them when she fully came down the stairs. "But you're still my brother, nonetheless. And I won't stand for you to live in a dangerous Sector." This was quite an uncomfortable position for him; he never really did like ordering his brother around like this. It felt much too rude and disrespectful.
"Please. Just come live with me," he spoke, a bit troubled and mildly desperate. He gripped the handles of the luggage tightly. He really didn't wish to force her when it came to it. "I'm not a bad person, if that's what you're worried about. I live in the Southern Sector. It's still a dangerous place there, but it's better than the Underground. I would feel better if you were where I could see you. Come live with me."

Brother? Live with him? Everything was moving too fast for the rather slow woman. She has never...Kateryna looked at his desperation, at his simple and yet unreasonable request. It hurt her, physically as much emotionally. Her chest tightened at the sight, and tears sprung up into her eyes. She thought that this tone, this look of him didn't suit him. Reaching up, she placed her hands on his cheeks. Holding his face, as she observed the young man closely with watery eyes.
"What is...Are we that familiar to each other?" She smiled, and dropped her hands from his face, blushing a bit with embarrassment. "Well, I guess it woult not hurt to trust a familiar stranger?" She laughed.

His heart lurched at her touch and at her tear-filled eyes. So familiar. He would do this. He would. For numerous reasons and actions on his part, his brother would always hold his face with those teary eyes. Doubt and confusion settled in.
Perhaps this was actually a bad idea? He got mildly worried that he would experience these feelings for his siblings for anyone who would resemble his siblings in appearance and in personality. Was he doing the right thing by asking her to live with him?
Her laughter was soothing. It couldn't hurt to live with her. He was at ease around her, even though she wasn't his brother. Maybe this whole ordeal for him was a pseudo. He was lonely and missing his siblings and she appeared. She was merely a pseudo for him. He just needed someone there like his siblings to ease himself. It was fine. It would be okay.
Holding his hand out to her, he offered a small smile.
"Let's go home, Brother," he stated. "I missed you and now we finally can live together again. We'll find Sister soon enough. Trust me."
