Name:Krystian Arlovsky
Age: 36
Nationality: Ukrainian
Birthday: February 28
Occupation: unemployed/Heavy labour (work horse)
Upper, Middle, or Lower Class?: Lower class, but he’s happy…
Attitude Towards Bots?:
Krystian doesn’t mind bots. He thinks their nice enough, though deep down he is slightly agitated at the thought that they are taking his job.
Appearance:
The first thing you would notice about Krys is that he is ridiculously tall. It’s never hard to lose the man as he seems to always be at least a foot taller than the usual crowd. The second thing you would notice about him is his strong built. As a working man, Krystian is used to lifting and transporting heavy objects, thus giving him a very muscular body. At times he has to side step into doorways, as they aren’t built for a man of his width. Some of his body weight is fat however, though he is shy to say so. Due to this he doesn’t get cold easily, and in fact will complain about being too hot.
On closer inspection of his face, Krystian has light blue eyes which become especially clear when he cries. His face is a little chubby which gives him a younger appearance. He has very light blond hair which he cuts often (since it is a pain to get hair in his eyes).
If you ever saw him without his shirt on, you would notice various, small scars on his body. These are from years of heavy work.
His normal attire consists of work jeans and a turtle neck, along with a long scarf he made as a child. While working he wears a t-shirt (so as to not snag his cloths on the equipment) and he leaves his scarf at home.

Personality:
Krystian is like a mother. He will tell his coworkers to bundle up in the cold and will fuss over their jackets. He’ll pack his friends lunch and wish them well on their way to work. In his spare time he enjoys playing with the young children near his apartment (though, their parents tend to tell them to stay away from him, since he is a grown man). He misses having his younger siblings to take care of and wishes he had children of his own. If he had a wife, he would want a large family (even if this is frowned upon in a world of overpopulation). He feels most comfortable when he’s giving one of the school children advice, or sewing up a shirt for a friend. He also enjoys his work, since it doesn’t take a lot of thought (and he was never confident with thinking skills).
Something Krys doesn’t enjoy is arguments. Growing up, he witnessed his parents have quite a few of these, and as he grew older he joined in. After they left, it only seemed to grow worse. The landlord would argue with him on his rent. Their neighbors would argue with him about his little brother's anger problems. Most people learn to fight back; Krystian, however, instead learned to deflect these arguments and steer them towards calmer conversations. He would simply apologize or ask for forgiveness, and finally the other party would give up or give in. This also seemed to work if he began to cry (that, or the other party would then beat the snot out of him).
Krystian is also a crier. And when I mean he cries, I mean he bawls. If he bumps into you? He tears up. And if he messes up on the job? He’ll cry. He knows it’s a weakness, but he can’t help it. He’s just an overly sensitive individual. He always wished he could be strong like his younger siblings, especially his little brother. At times he thinks maybe he cries for his brother, since he hasn’t seen the other cry since he was just a babe…
He also doesn’t have a lot ‘going on in the attic’ so to speak. He’ll often space out or not catch onto what others are talking about. In this aspect he is kind of like a puppy: a cute, stupid puppy. He enjoys making jokes with his friends, though he doesn’t realise this is often at his own expense. He tries to have a happy outlook on life and believes that if you keep looking towards what is good, then what is wrong won’t bother you.
Krystian also has a tendency to have quick conversations in his head, which cause him to make comments that aren’t related to the current conversation. He will also laugh suddenly or begin to cry for seemingly no reason.
He is embarrassed about his lack of an education and prefers not to talk about it.
One last thing to note is that he is a hugger; and he gives really big hugs.
History:
Krystian grew up in a not-so-rich family. They couldn’t afford many things, but they tended to get by. When he was an only child, he had many toys. When his sister was born, he gave his toys to her, but she got a few of her own. It was many years later when his precious little brother was born that they became tighter for cash. His father kept mumbling about another mouth to feed, but Krys did everything in his power to make sure his little brother (and sister) never felt the pain of that thought. He spent his days teaching them different things and reading books to them. As soon as he hit puberty he went to work (since he was pulled out of school anyway on account of the money issue). He would wake up, work at the docks, come home, look after his siblings, then go to bed. His father was always at work, but Krys couldn’t decide if this was a good thing or a bad thing (since having him home meant seeing his father, but having him home meant more fighting and hitting). As for his mother, she tended to be out too, though she didn’t have a job.
It all changed when father came home one day and started fighting with his mother. She had an affair. He wasn’t too pleased.
Then there was lots of fighting and hitting. Krystian took his siblings into another room and read them stories, telling them mama and papa were just disagreeing again.
But his mother never came back, and a week later neither did his father.
And that was how Krystian found himself becoming both mother and father to his siblings. He cooked for them and cleaned after them. It was tough, but he still enjoyed it never the less. A fond memory he still holds is of coming home and checking to see if they had brushed their teeth. His sister didn’t but Nikita tried to defend her all the same.
They went on like this for quite some time. A few years passed, and he got stronger. But then one day a few boys down by the docks gave him trouble. And the next day they harassed his sister. Krystian told his little Nikita not to try anything funny (to just leave them alone, they didn’t mean any harm) but then he never came back. Krystian woke up to find his bed empty.
At first he thought maybe his brother was out stealing (which he greatly frowned upon, but he had sworn never to argue in that house…) but after a few more days he realised something must have happened. He went to the police, but they were no help. He went to the gang, but they just alluded to hurting Nikita, and then threatened to do the same to his little sister.
Krystian was caught. He didn’t know what to do.
He searched and searched, but no one had seen him. The weeks drew into months, which became years. His sister grew up, became a beautiful young woman. He got stronger, but what good was his strength if he couldn’t even protect his own little brother? He wished he had gone to school, became smarter (because if he was smarter then he could find him, save his little brother).
Recently he got fired from his job, since the company secretly saved up money in order to buy bots to do the work. He still searches for his little brother, and misses his little sister. He keeps smiling though, since without that what does he have?
RP Sample:
The air was crisp and sharp in his throat. He walked along the familiar path, getting his body ready for another long day on the job. It was simple, but nice. Take the boxes and bags off the lifter and place them on the shelves. It was something a machine could do, however all the lifters were too large to move around the store. Besides, the store always had to be stocked while customers were inside, and a large, bulky lifter was too big to weave through the isles while the rich ‘ooed’ and ‘awed’ over the latest product.
Krystian bobbed his head side to side as he walked. He wasn’t thinking of any particular tune, however doing so just seemed to lighten his spirits. His coworkers would always (tease) ask what he was humming or ‘grooving’ too, in which he would happily respond ‘life!’
As he came up to the glass doors he had already developed a happy smile on his face. He took a few more steps before his brain registered that the doors should have opened. This message didn’t get to the rest of his body in time however, and so he crashed right into the doors. His hands shot up as he grabbed a hold of his nose, his throat producing a small whine as he gently pulled his fingers away to see blood.
Oww…
“Hello.” Krystian looked up to see a tall, black haired man. Someone he’d never seen before. Krys sheepishly smiled back.
“Hello. I’m sorry…I…ah…the doors normally open for me.”
“Name.”
“Pardon?” The other blinked, but remained emotionless.
“Name please.” Krystian frowned before putting on another smile. This was probably a new person.
“Krystian Arlovsky.”
The other’s eyes seemed to go dull before brightening once more. He shook his head.
“I’m sorry sir, but we are not open for business yet. Please come back at-“
“Oh no! No, you see, I work here.”
“No, you don’t.” Krystian cocked his head to the side.
“Yes I do.”
“No you don’t.”
He pouted and gazed around the other, noticing his coworkers inside.
“Yes I do, I’m with them.”
“Krystian Arlovsky does not work here. We are closed at the moment, please come back later-“
“No! Ah…you see, how do I put this…” He tapped his fingers to his lips, “I…do the lifting. I’m employed by this company.”
“Krystian…” Said man looked up to his employer, Mr. Andrews, who gave him a small frown, “Didn’t you get the letter?” Krys smiled and gave a small salute.
“No sir, I didn’t check my mail this morning. I came right to work.”
“It was your check.”
“I’m getting paid early?” Krystian brightened up as he looked to the first man, “Well today is my lucky day-“
“You were fired.” The two men looked back to the black hair man, his eyes cold as he looked at Krys. “You don’t work here any longer.” Krysitan looked at the dark haired man, then his employer, then back again.
“Um…o…oh-“
“Krystian we’re trying to cut costs, so the company-“
“I...um…”
“The company is purchasing bots to replace you boys. You know, save money and all.”
Tears began to well up in his eyes as the situation began to make sense.
“Oh…Oh I see…”
“Krys please try to understand-“
“I-it’s ok. I understand, s-saving money an-and all.” His boss, or, former boss shifted uncomfortably.
In the background, Krystain could see his former coworkers. Talking, watching.
So he was the first to be replaced? The first to go?
He looked back to the dark haired man as his lips quivered.
He’s my replacement. I’d stake my life on it.
“For gods sakes man, have a little dignity.” His eyes snapped back to Mr. Andrews, who now seemed to hold frustration in his gaze. Krystian hiccupped as he tried hard to swallow.
“W-wh-what do y-you m-mean?”
“Just- just go. Just go Krystian.” And then the black haired man grabbed the doors and shut them, locking the glass quickly before turning and leaving. Krystian frowned as he felt the hot tears roll down his cheeks and onto his jacket.
He looked up once more to his coworkers, who avoided his gaze. So he turned and left, his footsteps loud in the deserted street.
He knew he should be mad at the company, and not the robot man who took his place. He told himself that such a nice piece of technology shouldn’t be blamed for the sins of man.
And yet, in his heart, something hot began to burn.
