Jin blinked a few times, confused at the other’s explanation. It took him a bit of processing to come to the conclusion that this person had found him out of battery in the shopping district and had taken him back to his place. While the gesture was commendable, the idea of someone carrying him all the way into the Eastern Sector seemed rather odd. Then again, just leaving him there was another option, and Jin was glad the blond hadn’t taken it. Still, there were a few curiosities with the explanation he was given.
“My name is Jin,” the bot corrected automatically, now leaning against the door frame. “Or, if you’d like to be more formal, 100914 – though, really, no one can remember that sequence for some reason. And no, I don’t remember, which is why I asked in the first place. ”
The Englishman’s bluntness had rubbed off on Jin, though the young bot hadn’t the slightest inclination that he was being somewhat rude in his word choice. Still, being called the wrong name had irked him; there was no reason for the other to assume that his name was ‘Jia’, so why had he called him that?
“Either way, thank you very much for helping me, ” he continued, bowing slightly. “However, I think it would be in your best interests to return me to the Western Sector before daddy gets worried. You don’t seem like the sort to hold ransoms, and I wouldn’t want you to be falsely accused for kidnapping. I’m sure you’ll be awarded with monetary compensation, if that’s what you’re looking for. ”

"But, you said..." Matthew began, somewhat confused by the change in name and attitude of the younger boy. It took him a moment of hard looking at Jia--no, Jin. It was subtle things, such as the blank look in his eyes and the way he was holding himself.
Quickly, he shook his head, quivering slightly. Matthew knew he should have taken him back when he had the chance, but he didn't have the heart. "S-so, you're from the Western District? I-if that's the case, we'll need to take the bus... " his voice got quieter and quieter the more he spoke. How the heck did Jia end up out here? "I-I found you in an old Eastern District neighbourhood." Matthew didn't want reward money, he wanted to find out what was going on. "D-don't you remember? The talk we had? Anything?" [/blockquote]

“How can I? This is the first time I’ve ever spoken to you,” Jin blinked, tilting his head. “And I assure you that I would have no reason whatsoever to be in any part of the Eastern Sector. I was running errands for daddy when, I assume, I ran out of power.”
Unless this was a string of failed robbery attempts, he had no idea how he could have ended up where the blond claimed to have found him. Jin’s suspicion was heightened, though not enough to accuse the other of any foul play. His mannerisms and tone of voice were not that of someone who would be of any threat, according to what Arthur had told him. All of this was probably just a large misunderstanding fueled by some misplaced kindness.

Matthew scratched his head with a mild sense of frustration, sighing quietly to himself. There wasn't much he could do now, he had to accept this fact and the fact that this bot-- no, person, was unaware of their previous conversations or actions. Mentally, he made a note to himself:
Jin; Jia; 100914 the latter would most likely escape soon enough. But, he wouldn't forget the names at the very least. "A-ah, so that's why you passed out..." Matthew mused out loud, though quietly. Hand lowering from where it had been by his head and down onto his lap. He stared at the other again, examining him quietly for a moment before sighing and standing up from his seat.
"D-do you know where exactly in the Western Sector? I-I'll take you there." and maybe ask his owner about this, if they would be willing to talk. Matthew would get him home and then call Francis. He couldn't very well tell the bot to stay here while he called a friend. [/blockquote]

“...Sorry?” Jin asked, wondering if any of the mumbled words were meant for him. When Matthew failed to respond, he shrunk back and dismissed the situation as best he could.
Jin didn’t quite know why the other was staring at him so intently, but at the moment, he didn’t really mind. Arthur had once told him that people in the lower class were often awestruck by the simplest things – be it a pair of well fitted pants, or even a strangely coloured car. However there was something about the wavy haired blond that struck Jin in an odd way – he wasn’t exactly sure what it was, or why, but he was hesitant to dismiss the young man as just another ‘simple minded commoner.’
“Thank you,” he nodded, pulling up the stored information from his mainframe. “The Kirkland Manor; 2407 Harbour Boulevard, Western Sector, Eishoff. It’s near a small bakery and across the street from a woman who owns approximately 14 assorted cats and 5 basset hounds.” [/size]

"...Sorry?"
Matthew quickly shook his head, putting on his best smile in an attempt to shove any worry or doubt from his face (and in his own mind.) "It's not trouble at all." the blond began to sit up, but froze mid-stand as he bombarded the other with an address and some interesting information regarding the neighbour. A look of confusion now having made it's way to his face.
"Um..." Matthew rubbed the back of his neck, standing now fully and changing his expression yet again to one that was a bit more apologetic. "D-do bots have a GPS?" he asked, laughing quietly and a bit nervously.
He honestly had no clue where that was and he himself didn't possess such a device. He knew how to get to the mall and how to get to the mall and a few smaller shops along the way. But, specific house addresses? Not so much. [/blockquote]

“Of course I do,” Jin huffed, mentally pulling up said application. “I’ve already entered our starting and ending destinations. If you’d like, I can also cover any expenses we may encounter on the way, like bus fare or unexpected citations for breaking any unknown curfews. It’s the least I can do to help someone who’s helped daddy by helping me.”
Logically speaking, it would have made more sense for Jin to have gone home by himself, using his built in GPS to know which bus routes to take. However, seeing as it wasn’t exactly a short trip back to the Western Sector, chances were that he wouldn’t be able to make it back before nightfall, and Jin simply could not function in the dark. It terrified him (or, whatever the robotic equivalent for ‘fear’ was), and while there were a number of other reasons one would chose to avoid being out at night, the fact that he equated the darkness to instant death was enough to keep the bot inside with all the lights turned on.
“...I can also ask daddy to let your stay until morning, if you want. It’s not safe in the dark...especially around this area, yeah?”

Matthew nodded to the shorter bot and finally sat up fully, worming his way past the other with a brief 'excuse me' and out into the main living area. Grabbing his old coat off of the rack, "T-there's no need for that, I'm sure I have enough to get us there." he said; the blond now digging into his coat pocket, affirming that his wallet was in there instead of in a drawer where it was usually kept. He was usually so careful about hiding stuff as personal as that whenever he got home. More for a sense of security than anything, but circumstances being what they were and the addition of his guest, it had completely slipped his mind.
One arm after the other, Matthew slipped his coat on, straightening it slightly before speaking once more to address the proposal offered by Jin. "I'll be alright. A-and, as long as you watch your back and play it safe, you'll be fine." he offered the dark-haired boy a small smile. He was capable of taking care of himself, and while this district might not have been the safest; it most certainly wasn't the worse. Sure, there was plenty to be afraid of and Matthew most definitely did not enjoy a night-time outing; however, he didn't think he would be able to take the other up on his offer. "T-thank you, though. I'm more worried about getting you back safely. I wouldn't want to inconvenience your..." he paused for a moment, tilting his head ever so slightly and quirking a brow, "father?"
It wasn't exactly a question, more just trying to find the right words. He didn't think he had ever heard a bot refer to it's owner as 'daddy' before.
Plastering the smile back on his face, he walked over to the front door and held it open for the other. Waiting for him to pass by, "Besides, it's sort of my fault you ended up so far away from home, I guess. Wouldn't be right of me to accept an offer such as that." he was still thankful for the offer, and hoped that the other realised that.
Though, he had to ask... "...you were kidding about your neighbour having fourteen cats and five dogs, right?" [/blockquote]

"If you're sure," Jin said skeptically, still wanting the nice blond to get something out of this encounter. He wasn't sure why, but thought it would be nice.
“Oh, he’s not my father,” he blinked, wondering why the other would think so. “He’s my daddy.”
Despite Arthur insisting his use of ‘daddy’ in place of ‘owner’ (or perhaps ‘master’) wasn’t a glitch...it was, clearly, a glitch. Still, it was best to leave all the technical mumbo jumbo out of it; what really mattered is that it came off as endearing, which was apparently, to some sad saps out there, a selling point. Besides, no one was dying because of it, so there was really no need to correct it; at least, that was the common belief.
Jin went back into the other room to see if he’d left anything, giving the stuffed polar bear a quick squeeze before setting it down and making the bed (out of habit, he supposed). After making sure the spread was nice and crisp, Jin located his shoes and slid them on, wondering if it would look odd to be outside without a jacket. Not that he could really feel the chill, but sticking out like a sore thumb in his light clothes would seem a bit too out of place for his tastes. …Perhaps he should bring a flashlight as well. Or a baseball bat, just in case there was a rabid toddler or something out there in the Eastern wilderness. Regardless, he shrugged off the lingering ‘maybes’ and met Matthew back in the room outside.
He looked up curiously at the blonde’s inquiry about their crazy neighbour’s collection of pets, blinking.
“I’m a bot,” Jin replied simply, the faintest ghost of a smile on his lips. “We don’t kid. Usually, anyway.”

"Oh, I-I see. Sorry." Matthew apologised for the confusion. Although, he was still somewhat confused about the whole thing. Daddy usually referred to one of two things: a cute way of coming someone a father figure or...
Matthew shook his head, wiping the idea out of his mind. There were some sick people out there, but by the way Jin looked, he doubted that his master was much of a sleazebag. In fact, just the sound of the place where he lived was enough to still any fears. Sort of.
"...and animal control hasnt been called yet?" Matthew couldnt fathom having that many animals, even in a larger house. Wasn't that called hoarding? "E-either way, lets go before it gets really late, yes?" [/blockquote]
